Talents, Classes & Industry
VERSION 0.91 · 16 AUGUST 2026
Classes now carry real signature power, achievements are
challenges that pay talent points, the Mk ladder reaches Mk8, and holdings
scale with how deeply you develop them.
Your saved builds are safe. Nothing here forces a
respec.
Achievements pay talent points
- 78 achievements, each worth +1 talent point. Your
ceiling is now 178: 100 from levels, 78 from achievements.
- Nothing to claim. The point lands when you finish the
task, and your build spends it for you.
- They are tasks now. Run 500 road vehicles at once, 200
trains, 500 ships. Move 250k units in a session. Finish worth $250M.
Win as all 8 classes.
- Fleet, cargo and value challenges measure your best single
session, so 500 trucks means 500 at once.
- Eight attendance achievements retired, including
"return after a week away" and the hours online tiers. You keep the XP
they paid.
Classes have real signature power
A class used to be worth +1 of its speciality. It is 3 now.
| Class | Starts with |
| Roadmaster, Rail Baron, Admiral, Aviator | +3 Mk tiers on their own mode |
| Industrialist | 3 Industrial Trusts |
| Merchant | 3 Exchange Seats |
| Magnate | 3 Treasury Bonds, 3% a year on company value |
| Urbanist | 3 Reach towns, cap raised 5 to 8 |
- Crowns now pay a permanent percentage too: +5% per
crown node, plus +15% from the class itself, into that class's primary
stat. A Mk tier ages out when the next generation lands. A percentage
does not.
- The percentage follows the node's class, not yours, so
crossing the board for a foreign crown still pays.
- All eight classes now have four crowns. The vehicle
classes had four, the others had five.
The Mk ladder reaches Mk8
- Talents alone still cap at Mk5. The three tiers above
it come only from the matching vehicle class.
- Mk1 to Mk6 are unchanged. The new tiers are added on
top, so nothing you already run is re-tuned.
- Four new rail specialist engines: Log Train, Boxcar
Train, Tank Train and Bullion Express, on the crowns freed by
equalising the classes.
Holdings scale with your stakes
A holding's dividend was a share, so as sole holder you earned the same
for 1 stake as for 400. Every stake after the first paid nothing. Towns
had the same flaw. It now scales with your absolute stake count.
| Your stakes | Payout against before |
| 1 | 0.42x |
| about 38 | break even |
| 100 | 2.0x |
| 200 | 3.6x |
| 400 | 6.8x |
| 600 or more | 8.0x |
Shallow holdings pay less than before. Deep ones become a real
income pillar. Applies to industry development and town residents alike.
Vehicles
Trams
- New Hopper Tram for Grain, Wheat, Maize and Sugar. A
tram line to a farm used to look finished until you tried to move the
crop.
- Three lines could not carry a cargo their own node
grants. Copper moved to Steel Corridor. Toffee and Fruit had no
tram at all.
- Rock Candy is now a valuable, with Gold, Diamond and
Bubbles on The Bullion Line. Fruit joined the crops, Rubber joined the
liquids.
- Coal Tram is now the Mineral Tram, since it hauls
copper too.
- Duplicate buy menu names removed. Tropic players saw
three rows called Tanker Tram I Mk1. Water, Rubber, Toffee and Fruit
have their own names.
- 31 of 32 cargoes now have a tram.
Ships
- New Hoverliner. Late era Fast Ferries were slower than
a hovercraft fifty years older. The Hoverliner runs 134 against the
ferry's 83, trading capacity for speed.
- Five new freight lines: Timber Barge, Grain Barge,
Goods Clipper, Mail Packet, Bullion Cutter.
Talent board
- Brighter lines, roughly double the contrast, and your
built path now glows.
- Searching no longer erases your route. The unbuilt
lattice still dims, your own path never fades.
- Search finds hybrid nodes. Steel Corridor unlocks
trains and trams but was tagged rail only. Search matches vehicle names
now, so "coal tram" lands on the right node.
Fixes
- Career perk news read "available 96 years early". It was
months labelled as years. At level 75 the real figure is 8 years.
- Records are per server and reset monthly. A 2020 world
and a 1950 world were never competing fairly. History is preserved on
its own tab.
- Two new worlds, a 2000 and a 2020 start.
- Infrastructure costs money. Road, stations and
airports were free to own, and easier charters were paying a rebate on
it. Your career page shows a per type breakdown.
AI opponents
- Charters are rolled per company across Easy and Normal.
- Ships no longer strand themselves. An AI could build
docks in two separate lakes and order a vessel between them. Routes are
checked for navigable water first.
- Road stops near bridges are placed correctly.
